Hypnosis

It is widely known that our thoughts and beliefs can directly affect our health. Stress alone can increase the risk of heart problems, high blood pressure and depression, to name a few. Negative thoughts and feelings (those that are conscious, as well as, those that are subconscious) are a main cause in the restriction of the flow of Ki.

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS/HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of profound relaxation allowing you to totally focus and concentrate. In this state, your critical mind (conscious mind) is relaxed allowing your subconscious mind to be accessible and open to positive suggestions. In this state you can easily recall feelings, emotions, memories and situations and you can effortlessly imagine and visualize the changes you desire and the ways in which to make them a reality. Simply with this focused concentration and an effective hypnotherapist, you can create deep, lasting changes in your belief systems and your behaviors.

Chances are you have already experienced hypnosis many times. You’ve been in hypnotic state or trance if you have ever been engrossed in a book or movie and lost track of time, or if you’ve been so deep in thought while driving that suddenly you are at your exit. Even daydreaming is a form of trance. The difference with hypnosis is that you are intentionally guided into trance by the hypnotherapist for a beneficial purpose.

Hypnotherapy addresses issues on a subconscious level, thereby directly addressing the source of your thoughts and behaviors. The conscious mind is only capable of holding a small amount of information, while the subconscious mind is a repository of all our of life experiences and memories – everything that makes us who we are today.  Imagine an iceberg; the tip of the iceberg above water represents your conscious mind and the part below represents your subconscious mind, the largest part of your mind.
